ARTISTS WANTED FOR ODYSSEY FESTIVAL

This year’s Odyssey Festival is looking for artists to display their works as part of the Odyssey Art Prize exhibition and the Cathedral Project.
We are pleased to announce that the exhibition will be held from October 5 to November 6 at the ‘hub’ of this year’s Odyssey Festival, Olympic Hall – the home of the Greek Orthodox Community of SA inc.
With the Greek Orthodox Community of SA inc (GOCSA) celebrating their 80th year in 2010, the theme for this year’s Art Prize is ‘Community Spirit’. The ‘Odyssey Art Prize’ of $2,000 will be awarded to the best work in ANY art-form, be it painting, drawing, photography, print making, ceramics, sculpture etc. The winning piece will also become a permanent fixture in GOCSA’s gallery.
As an artist with a love for Hellenic (Greek) culture, it needs to be clarified that you don’t have to be Greek or of Greek background, however, your love/passion of the culture needs to be reflected in your artwork while depicting the theme.
We request that your artwork be delivered to Olympic Hall (corner of Franklin Street & West Terrace, Adelaide) between Monday 27th and Wednesday 29th September, ready to hang with a label on the back clearly stating your name.
By Friday 25th September you will be required to provide the following details (by email preferably); title, artist, medium, price plus a 50-word description relating your artwork to the
theme.
To register your involvement in either the Odyssey Art Prize or The Cathedral Project or both, please contact Odyssey Festival co-ordinator Maria Foundas on
0419 835 995 or
maria@adelaideliveitloveit.com.au
