About the Friends of SASA

The Friends of the South Australian School of Art (SASA) aim to promote the work, history, and development of the South Australian School of Art, using the outstanding expertise, experience and collegial nature of its past and present scholars and staff.


Friends of SASA Board Members: 2011 - 2012

The Friends of SASA was first launched at the University of South Australia on 21st August, 2008. The Fourth Annual General Meeting of the Friends of SASA was held on August 25th, 2011.

GUEST SPEAKER AT 2011 AGM: NICK MITZEVICH, Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia.

The Guest Speaker for the 2011 Annual General Meeting was NICK MITZEVICH, Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia who presented his vision for the Art Gallery. He is pictured here second on the left with Ron Rowe, Jack Condous and Max Lyle.


The (Past) Patron of the Friends of SASA was:
Dr H R (Kym) Bonython, A.C., D.F.C., A.F.C., K.C.S.J.

Sadly Kym Bonython passed away on Saturday 19th March, 2011. For the Friends SASA acknowledgement of his contribution as Patron to the Friends SASA, go to the Past Events section of this site.

A new Patron will be named shortly.

How to Join: Membership 2010 - 2011

Membership of the Friends of SASA for 2010 to 2011 is as follows:

Individual Membership $35
Joint Membership $50
Institutional Membership $100
Student Membership $20.


LIFE MEMBERSHIP is also available for $350.
